FISK UNIVERSiTY

The concept of the Talented Tenth Gala is inspired by Dr. W.E.B DuBois, noted scholar and one of Fisk’s most well-known alumni. This principle recognizes the importance of educating exceptional men and women in order to uplift the African American culture and community. This tenet is at the core of Fisk University's mission.

 

The inaugural Talented Tenth Gala will highlight the work and achievements of alumni, friends and supporters of Fisk University in four categories.

It will also: 

   

• Raise critical funds to support Fisk University

• Raise funds to support WFAA student recruitment activities/scholarships

• Recognize the accomplishments of Fisk Alumni in the Eastern Region              

• Bring together alumni across the Eastern Region to fellowship and celebrate Fisk’s Sesquicentennial in the DC area
